Dates:

  • I hope to have a date for this adventure by 2/15/07
  • Some of the suggested dates:
    • ?????
Planning:
  • We will have a date selected by 2/15/07, we will schedule a planning meeting shortly thereafter.
  • Plan on having a prelimary meeting sometime in January. The meeting will cover the trip options (if options still exist), vehicle requirements as well as the general logistics of the trip.
  • One of my thoughts was to assign each person going to research a particular site that we will be traveling to. Vast amounts of information is available via the internet, library, etc... but it would be fun if we all became psuedo-experts about the various destinations, that way we make this trip very informative too.
Vehicle/Attendee Requirements:
  • ALL vehicles must be currently registered and insured.
  • ALL vehicles must be able to sustain rigerous travel in the desert.
  • Roll-Cage/Integral top is required.
  • All drivers/passengers must have a functioning seatbelt, to be worn at ALL times while on the trail/road.
  • More specific vehicle requirements soon!
  • Two of the following forms of communication per vehicle:
    • Citizens Band Radio
    • HAM Radio
    • FRS Radio (even the cheap $25 models will be sufficient)
  • Vehicle spill recovery kit.

Get on the Mailing List:

A mailing list is going to be the best way to communicate the details and planning for this trip due to the fact that many of the potential attendees will not be able to make it to the various planning meetings.

If you want to be on the mailing list for the trip, please email me with your preferred email address I will get you added to the list. As soon as we get some people added, we can start with introductions and planning.

I will continue to update this webpage (in fact it will be the most official information) but if you are serious about going, get on the mailing list and get involved!

Please Send and Comments/Ideas/Suggestions to:

  • Kurt Williams - kurt@cruiseroutfitters.com
  • Please include number of attendees, thanks!
